If you’ve ever wondered what a brand photography session looks like for a consultant who’s redefining her industry, this post is for you. I’m sharing a behind-the-scenes look at a 2-hour brand photography session for Kate Brousseau, the Customer Success expert behind Success Function LLC. Her mission? To rewrite the Customer Success playbook for the AI era, and her photos needed to position her as the leading voice doing exactly that. Our goal for this shoot was to capture her authority and warmth in a way that perfectly aligned with her consultant brand photography needs.

Kate is a Customer Success expert who serves C-suite leaders, founders, and senior CS and Sales executives at ed-tech SaaS companies. Her work challenges an outdated model built for SaaS that ignores AI, and gives leaders a faster, more practical playbook for protecting revenue, renewals, and customer relationships during transformation. Her brand is warm, intelligent, and decisive: approachable but authoritative, kind but direct, strategic but execution-driven. She’s the rare consultant who blends big-picture strategy with fast, hands-on execution, and her brand imagery needed to communicate both.

The vision for this brand photography session was to reposition Kate from “experienced CS leader” to the first serious voice leading an overhaul of Customer Success. That meant imagery that signals AI fluency, speed, and innovation without losing the trust and steadiness that make her credible to skeptical executives. We wanted her photos to feel modern, executive, and human. The kind of images that pull weight on LinkedIn, hold up on a consulting one-pager, and still feel relevant a year from now in speaking materials and thought-leadership content.

Two hours is a tight window, but with a strong creative brief and a clear plan, we packed in three full storylines, four outfit changes, and a library of photos Kate can rotate through her LinkedIn and marketing for months. Here’s a breakdown of what we accomplished:

In just 120 minutes, Kate walked away with four distinct looks and three storylines’ worth of cohesive, on-brand images that will carry her LinkedIn, website, and consulting materials for months to come. Here’s a few of my favorites!
“Working with Becca was one of the best investments I made in my business! She has a real talent for capturing the essence of a brand and made the whole experience seamless and enjoyable. She is highly responsive, great to collaborate with, and generous in connecting clients to other resources. I have received consistent positive feedback since launching the photos!”

A lot, especially when we plan well. With a creative brief like the one I built for Kate, we captured three full storylines and four outfit changes in 120 minutes. The pre-shoot strategy work is what makes a 2-hour session feel like a half-day on the back end.
For a 2-hour session, 3-4 outfits is the sweet spot. Kate opted for four because she wanted enough visual variety to keep her LinkedIn feed fresh for months without needing to reshoot. Quick changes are absolutely doable when outfits are pressed, hung, and ready to go. That’s the secret to making the most of every minute on set.
Props help tell your story. For Kate’s session, we used a whiteboard, grid notebook, marker, and a “playbook” stand-in, all chosen to reinforce her positioning as the consultant redefining Customer Success. Think about the tools you actually use with clients every day. Those are the ones that will feel most authentic in your photos.
Absolutely. Even in two hours, you can walk away with executive headshots, working-shot lifestyle photos, and storyline-based images that work across your website, LinkedIn, newsletters, brochures, and speaking materials. For Kate, the goal was a long LinkedIn runway, and four outfits across three storylines delivered exactly that.
A 2-hour brand photography session is ideal for consultants, B2B experts, and thought leaders who need polished executive headshots plus a small library of working and storyline shots, without booking a full-day session. It’s especially well-suited for consultants who use LinkedIn as their primary marketing channel and need ongoing content variety.
