Courtney + Marc found me through Zola, and after our first conversation over coffee, I was convinced that they are my people. They are super kind, easygoing, and clearly love each other. They’ve been together for eight years, are getting married in Troy, New York and had their engagement session in Clifton Park.
When they first booked with me as their wedding photographer, they weren’t exactly sure where to have their engagement session, so I sent them a couple of ideas. They ended up scouting out their own location and sent me the info! I LOVE it when clients have a location that has meaning for them. That’s my favorite, because 10 years down the road, they will look at those photos and have a memory tied to the location, not just a “pretty place” to take photos.
We were planning on taking photos the week before, but Marc wasn’t feeling well and I wanted to make sure that they felt their best and had the best experience. I will reschedule when that happens with my couple, because I know that I would not want to take photos when I’m not feeling well!
When we met up at the parking lot and started walking to the destination, Courtney mentioned that she was a bit nervous. I told her that all my clients are nervous in front of the camera and it’s my job to help you relax so that I can capture your true selves!
We walked for about a mile to come up to this beautiful bridge and woodsy area. It fit so well with their rustic and natural-looking outfits. We then had SO much fun playing games, walking in the snow and capturing the moments as they came! The time flew by super fast and you can really sense the joy in these photos. I’m so excited to capture their love and joy at their wedding in November!
