Katherine + Erick are based in New York City, found me on Zola and we QUICKLY became fast friends! Right away I could tell how genuine and caring they are, both for me and for each other. It’s such an honor to say that I shot their wedding, and next time I go to the city, I’m definitely seeing if I can meet up with them again!

They got married at a camp that was special to Erick and his family in the Adirondacks! It was absolutely beautiful, and Katherine did all of the decorations herself – aren’t they gorgeous?

I got a call from Katherine a few days before the wedding and learned that someone had tested positive for COVID and she gave me the option to not shoot the wedding if I didn’t want to. Ultimately, the venue and all of her vendors decided to still come and take all of the necessary precautions, and we all stayed safe and the wedding was SO precious! Everyone who spoke and talked about this couple shared how kind, loyal, and loving they are and I could feel the warmth and emotion in the room.

One fun thing that happened during the wedding was that Katherine and Erick brought their dog! It was the cutest thing, and probably the most well-behaved dog I’ve ever seen. One of my favorite photos is of the bride and groom reacting to a toast, and their dog is sitting right next to them, looking at the person who’s giving the toast, as well.

They ended with fresh mini-donuts and everyone who attended had an amazing time. The wedding coordinator worked his magic to make the day run smooth, and the vendors all became a team to make sure that Katherine + Erick had the best day possible. These types of weddings leave me so energized and remind me of why I do what I do.
