Kayla found me on Instagram and reached out to me saying that her and her boyfriend wanted to take photos with their new puppy, Zola! Little did she know that Austin was planning on making this a surprise proposal, as well! They met at Siena College and have been together for over five years! Austin told me that she wanted the proposal to be captured, so we made a plan to

Lovely Zola kept up the energy and the excitement the whole time! I loved that they picked a location that had meaning to them, right where it all began. Once he proposed, all she could keep saying was “I had a feeling!” He had bought the ring since the spring, gotten her parents permission, and finally made the day happen. Seeing their love and excitement throughout the whole session was contagious and so much fun! Zola kept running around, and they kept smiling and laughing the whole time.

They were going back to Austin’s parents house to celebrate and after we finished taking photos, I could see them Facetiming Kayla’s mom to tell her the good news.

It was such an honor to capture this surprise proposal, and I can’t wait to continue to capture more of these!!! Here are some of the highlights of the day:
