Bill reached out to me about taking his online dating profile photos so that he could meet other people in the Albany, New York area and I said “heck, yes!” On his inquiry form, he mentioned that his friends think he looks better in person than in his photos, so I asked him to send me some examples of what he had been using so far. Here’s how we planned this Snyder Lake portrait session.
Through those photos and a Zoom call, we decided on splitting up the photo experience first at the Albany Empire State Plaza, and then at his home to take portrait photos near Snyder Lake. Through talking with him, I could tell that he was a really sweet person who doesn’t have many photos of himself, so we made a plan to showcase how considerate, reflective, and intelligent he is.
The Snyder Lake Portrait part was probably my favorite, because we included his dog, Echo! In addition to that, it had just snowed and the area was GORGEOUS with ice lining the trees and covering the lake. It made for a perfect place to make his outfits pop!
Here are some of my favorites from the session – who knows, maybe he’ll hire for me for an Adirondack wedding soon! 🙂
