Jalpa Sheth Nutrition & Wellness

I had the honor and privilege of photographing brand photos for Jalpa Sheth Nutrition and Wellness, a dietician who specializes in helping postpartum, athletes, performers and others with their weight loss and wellness goals. Not only does she provide services in the hospital setting and one-on-one consultations, she also has courses and support groups for people who need that extra push to fulfill their wellness goals. She also specializes in eating food based on culture and tradition, and it was so cool to take these New York City brand photos for her!

New York City Brand Photos vs Jersey City Brand Photos

Since Jalpa has offices in both New York City and Jersey City, we had the privilege of choosing which office to take brand photos in. There’s pros and cons to talking brand photos in New York City, but we ended up taking photos in Jersey City! We saw the whole skyline without dealing with the traffic of the city. I highly recommend it!

Brand photo location matters . . . mostly

When Jalpa said that she really wanted to use her office space as a backdrop for the majority of the brand photographs, I was a little nervous. What got me even more nervous was when I opened the door and realized how little space we had to take these photos (see below for proof)

Isn’t that crazy? I was extremely nervous once I saw the small space. To the left of the door was a yellow/orange wall that we ended up using in tandem with the nutrition sign and blank background, and then we turned off the lights that you see here and used off camera flash to highlight Jalpa’s face!

This is one of the many reasons why you should find a brand photographer who knows how to use off camera flash and is ready to use it at any situation. I don’t know what I would have done if I didn’t have off camera flash for this brand shoot and I’m so glad my client loves her photos from it!
